“My Trip to The Bahamas”

When I was 12 years old, my family decided that we should take a vacation. As a kid, I really loved to travel so I was anxious to see where we would go. After several weeks of planning, my mother finally announced that we would go on a cruise to visit the Bahamas. I was extremely excited to travel there because I knew absolutely nothing about the Bahamas, so I was ready for a new experience. I wanted to get as much information as possible before the trip so I could be prepared for the different culture. As I researched the island, I noticed that a lot of people were saying great things based on their travel experience. Previous visitors stated that the food, people, sightseeing, relaxation, and events were all amazing. Those reviews made me even more anxious to visit.

The long wait was over once my family and I were heading to Florida to board the cruise ship. When we arrived at the destination, I noticed an enormous boat floating in the water. At that point, I couldn’t tell if I was still excited or a bit nervous since this would be my first time on a boat. The size of the boat was kind of intimidating to me, but I was able to feel more comfortable as we were boarding the boat. The staff was very welcoming, which is what calmed my nerves and allowed me to just relax.

During our stay on the cruise ship, we were able to attend several events. Those events consisted of ice sculpting contest, deck parties, karaoke, live music concerts, and so much more. The ice sculptures started with a big block of ice and had to create something out of it in a short period of time. They were very creative and managed to create animal designs out of the block of ice. I was enjoying myself so much that all the nerves I had at the beginning of the trip had gone away. The trip was going just as I had imagined, if not better. The cruise ship left Florida and took several days to arrive in the Bahamas. The boat ride was so smooth that I couldn’t even tell that we were moving. When we arrived in the Bahamas, I remember noticing how beautiful the island was and seeing how pure the water was. Even though it was extremely hot, I can honestly say that this was the best vacation I have ever experienced.
